Some information about aging for you.

Collagen is an essential component, a very important substance, atleast when it comes to the skin.
Our skin has 3 layers, though we can only see one, the one at the surface, called Epidermis.
There are 2 more after this one, called Dermis and Hypodermis.
Within the Dermis is the collagen and also the elastin, which keep the skin young and beautiful, elastic and healthy.

Not only the skin depends on this collagen, but also things like hair and nails.
As we are young, everything works fine and our skin is nice and radiant, our hair is beautiful.
But as we grow old, collagen and elastin drop in quantity, the productions slow down, the skin becomes saggy, wrinkles andf fine lines appear on the skin, hair starts to kind of die and to fall more, etc.

This happens naturally and we cannot stop it, only temporarily slow it down through lotions and creams among o0ther methods.
But if this happens naturally, why is it that some people age faster than others even though they are the same age?
Sometimes you see a person that is 40 and looks like he/she is 25 or something, and you are and look 40.

Kind of unfair, it is true that this can also be the work of mother nature and genetics.
Some people age faster while others slower, some people age beautifully while others not so much.
But it could also mean that the person is healthier than you are.
Health affects everything, even the skin.

You must be careful with what you consume, eat and drink and you must keep fit and exercise.
You must get the rest you need and not overexhert yourself.
Stress and depression causes wrinkles, undereye dark circles, puffy/baggy eyes, etc.
Do you smoke? Then you should not be surprised that you are aging faster, smoke causes premature aging.
smoking damages the skin, teeth, etc. and also discoloration of the skin, wrinkles, etc. (also too much alcohol).
Do you spend a lot of your time in the sun, epoxsed to the sunlight?
THis is another reason why your skin is damaged and why you look slightly older.
The sunlight contains ultraviolet light which our eyes cannot see, which damage our skin cells and causes dryness of the skin.
